Caitlin's 1st Birthday

Are you ready for a few pictures!!??!! As you know, Caitlin's 1st Birthday was today, we celebrated it yesterday evening with a Pool Party! Here is the big birthday girl all ready to go in the pool!Playing in the pool - the bright orange ball was a hit! So many of our friends and family were able to be there for the fun.
Getting ready for part 2! (Tasha do you recognize the elephant towel??)Cheese!!Caitlin loved being sang to . . . and the candle was very neat! We couldn't get her to blow but she was grinning ear to ear!Pretty!!Dad helping her take a big bite of cupcake! She played with the frosting but wasn't too interested in the cupcake - I think lack of sleep, food and so much excitment may have played a part!Next was gifts! She loved the bows! We were a bit crunched for time so we opened presents in speed mode. . . . I opened, gave to Caitlin to look at and play with and moved on to opening another gift! She liked the bows - I think since they were so shiney! Her friends helped too! Ohhhh snow boots!
and bath toys!
paper to rip!
I was trying to be creative and make a tiered cup cake "cake" for Caitlin's party. It is a flower garden, bottom row - chocolate cupcakes with gummy worms as dirt, middle row - vanilla cupcakes with green frosting and sprinkles as leaves and the top two rows - vanilla cupcakes with pink frosting, gummy petals and lemon drop centers as flowers!
On Sunday morning Caitlin woke up right on schedule 8:30am, since there was the time change to 7:30am we had time to open all her presents and have a birthday breakfast of waffles and pancakes! Mark and I got her a Monkey backpack/harness/leash for when we travel this coming Christmas.

She loves it, and she even puts in on herself!Listening to the ABC song. . . Grandma and Papa got her a baby set - it comes with a stoller, basinette, carseat and baby. Plus all the accessories! It is amazing how grown up she acts with her babies!
Carrying the baby in the carseat!
Pushing the baby in the stroller!
She did so well with opening gifts in bags, she knows to take things out. We are still working on unwrapping gifts but I am sure she will have it in no time!

Time has flown, I truely can't believe Caitlin is one years old! She has grown into a very smart little girl! We love you all and can't wait to see you at Christmas!
