Happy 4th of July all! We headed out Thursday evening to spend the night on our boat. Our original plan was to head to Swanson Harbor in Icy Straights. . . well after a good try we ended up heading to Handtroller's Cove for the night. It was a bit more bouncy than I liked and we didn't want to take any chances - we can't blame it on the weather here in Juneau! It is beautiful and hot! In the upper 80's! 
Mark got to play with his newest boat toy (birthday gift) . . . a BBQ that attaches to a rod holder! 
We caught (and released) a Cod - open wide!

Our plan was to Halibut fish this weekend and we didn't do to bad!

After a long day of fishing on Friday we headed home and crashed into bed. This was the first year we didn't go downtown and watch the firework! Mark had to work early on the morning of the 4th but after he got off work we headed downtown to the parade. We made it to the last half which was plenty for us!
Caitlin was trying to figure out what was going on, why a ton of people are sitting on the street and why mom and dad brought me here . . . .
She eventually figured out that the people in the parade were throwing candy at us!

awwww first of all I'm am SOOOOO EXCITED that you can put caitlin;s hair into pigtails! I LOVE little girls in pigtails! so so so cute! and I love it that Lynden has tractors in their parades and Juneau has boats ;) so great! glad you had a good 4th! I worked 14 hrs and then watched the show that the maberry's put on which was amazing as usual! Love you guys! we reallllly need to skype soon, caitlin is just growing up before my eyes :( love you all!
