Wow, it's been awhile for the blog! Lots of great changes happening in the Sander's household! But first - my sister Chelsea Jane came to visit us on her spring break! She goes to Seattle Pacific University (SPU) and is in the Nursing program. Amazing how time flies - she will be a senior after this summer! Anyways last Thursday evening I headed to pick Chelsea Jane up from the Juneau International Airport! It was her first time traveling alone and she made it just fine~
Friday morning Caitlin woke up to her Auntie Chelsea in her house! She absolutely loved having her here. We started off to the Mendenhall Glacier for a nice walk out to the waterfall!
Such a happy boy~ Who by the way is almost 5 months old already, and weights just about 18 pounds already. He is in the 95% on height and weights! HEALTHY BOY!! oh and he is rolling over onto his stomach now!
The group of us on our way out to the waterfall. All bundled up Alaska Style!
Out at the Waterfall with the Mendenhall Glacier and Lake in the background.
We wanted to keep Chelsea really busy while she was here. From the Glacier we headed downtown to the swimming pool! Then it was off to lunch at Bullwinkles Pizza for pizza and games. This completely wore both kids out - they crashed in the car on the drive home!
Saturday morning we headed to the Twin Lakes park. We were having beautiful weather, a bit chilly but sunny. We all chased Caitlin around the park trying to wear her out!
Andrew stayed nice and warm!
Chelsea and I love our up close pictures :)
After the park we headed to Auke Rec for a campfire, s'mores and hot dogs! Caitlin loved exploring the beach/trees all by herself, Mark loved making the fire and Chelsea and I enjoyed the kids and view! What an amazing spring day!
S'MORES!!
Auntie Chelsea's baby bonding time ~
Saturday night Chelsea and I stayed up late baking 5 or 6 dozen chocolate chip and butterscotch cookies and peanut butter chocolate rice crispies for Sunday treats. Let me tell you how much it helps to have that extra set of hands!! Sunday morning we headed to church and then headed out for a bike ride around the valley.
Snug as a bug in a rug!
This is at the Mendenhall River, in the background you'll see Thunder Mountain (we basically live at the base of this mountain).
We headed down the Brotherhood Bridge Trail to the viewpoint for Chelsea to see another view of the Mendenhall Glacier. Amazingly both kids fell asleep on this bike ride too!
I love this picture - Chelsea is holding the Glacier!!
On Monday we headed to the Mt Jumbo Gym for some indoor playtime. Caitlin rode the trikes, jumped in the bouncy house, played ball, went on the slide and so much more! She kept us all very busy!

Auntie Chelsea and little Mandrew~
Cruising on the trike~
Building a tower with Daddy and Auntie Chelsea~
After lunch we drove around downtown (the kids fell asleep in the car again) and did a little sight seeing. We had to stop at the Governor's Mansion (where by the way Former Governor Sarah Palin lived some of the time) and take pictures. Here is Chelsea by the totem pole . . .
And below she is by the front door~

Well in true Lacey/Chelsea fashion, immediately following this moment, as we drove away - I was pulled over by the Juneau Police Department. Apparently getting out of your car and going over to the Governor's Mansion and then running back to the car and driving away is a bad idea.
Thankfully we didn't really do anything wrong - they just checked to see what we were up to and checked for warrants out for our arrest. No tickets and we were on our way!
Tuesday morning I headed back to work, the kids headed back to daycare and Chelsea flew back to Lynden for the rest of her spring break. She did get a little surprise when she woke up on Tuesday morning, we had gotten about 3-4 inches of fresh snow! Her flight did make it out okay and she made it home safely!
Thank you Chelsea for all of your help with the kids and getting our new house unpacked and organized. I'll miss our late night talks in the hot tub and eating Rocky Road ice cream!
We will have to do this again soon!
I will be back with more pictures - the pictures above are a few of the 98 pictures I took while Chelsea was here. She also saved the pictures from her camera on my computer and there are some cute ones of the kids - so I'll be back soon!!!
Okay - for the big change in the Sander's household!!
In case you haven't heard yet we recently purchased a new home! We moved in on the 12th of March and are just getting all settled in. I was able to take a few random pictures of the inside.

I'll take some of the bed rooms and outside here shortly. . . been so busy I just keep forgetting people want to see pictures!
We are so thankful everything worked out so well for us. We are very blessed.
