Last Saturday we took the kids and Brew to Sandy Beach on Douglas Island (across the bridge to from Juneau).
We played for quite a bit on the playground and got some super cute pictures of the kids :)
Andrew gets around so much better now that he is walking - a little more adventurous!

Andrew is a bit weary at the top of slides, after the first time helping him though it was "up please" from then on!
Then we headed to the beach to run brew and the kids :)This is normal for Caitlin - run run as fast as you can, you can't catch me I'm Caitlin!
Camo boy! Took me a second to notice - he is totally decked out in camo!!The beach means freedom for this little Mandrew!

We headed for these homemade, life size wind chimes. The Taku winds blow down off the mountains through the channel and hit Douglas Island really hard. This year we had wind gusts between 80 and 100 quite frequently. I didn't have the opportunity to hear these chimes but I am sure it was pretty cool!
Andrew getting a ride from Daddy, while Caitlin follows (she was in the wagon but is getting a little big to be pulling around in the sand :) Plus she needs to burn energy!)
He found water! This can be fun - a little while back Mark took the kids to the beach to dig clams, everything was going great until Andrew headed to the ocean and sat down! Mark had one wet boy on his hands!
Boy did we wear these kids out - lunch and naps were up next!Hope you enjoy our adventures! I am sure well have many more with spring right around the corner. We went for our first family bike ride to the Mendenhall Glacier on Sunday - no pictures but it was a lot of fun getting out.
Take care and check back often. There are more blogs below if you haven't checked lately - I just posted a bunch these last few days.
