Hawaii - Honolulu (Part 3)

Day 7
After we flew into Honolulu and got settled in our hotel we went out for a little stroll - we came across the changing of the guards in a small village public market near our hotel.
Sunset on Waikiki Beach :) (Sorry the person who took this got a fuzzy shot!)
Watched a hula dancing show on Waikiki Beach.

My favorite boy!
Riding with the top down.
Cool boy!
Day 8
Hanuama Bay for snorkeling
Snorkel buddies!

Beach time!
Always a boat around!

I taught them how to have a water fight :)
 View from the top!
Halona Blow Hole
Cruising in style~
Andrew slept even with the top down! Tired boy!!
So cute!

Pool time and then we found a giant nutcracker on our way to dinner!
I love these guys! Dinner with Auntie Randi and Uncle Todd as they passed through (headed home) at the Cheesecake Factory!! Silly kids :)
Day 9

Train Ride at the Dole Plantation!

He was a happy boy!

Machines!

Choo-choo!

The Sanders Family
Next we drove along the North Shore to the Waimea Valley and Waimea Beach for some fun in the water and sand.

The waves were a little bigger here (hence the North Shore). Andrew found comfort on the beach. I love his crossed legs - he played like this for a long time.

There is a big rock cliff that people jump off - of course Mark needed to jump off this again! He last jumped on our honeymoon 7 years ago! Mark is on the left in the picture.

And there he goes!

This little girl has no fear of the water!
Andrew was getting braver with his big sister around!

Sorry, these are a little out of order.
Getting ready to board the train - this was Andrew's first train ride!
So grown up!
And an ice-cream treat after the train ride - pineapple flavored ice-cream!
Beautiful flowers at Waimea Valley.
This time we got both to sleep!!
Someone got into her makeup kit!!
Late night pool time!

Day 10
He liked to  everywhere, no literally, all over the whole island! :)

Hiking up Diamond Head State Monument!

Rest stop - it was a little warm!

We made it!

Checking out the view from the top!

View from the top!
Even better view!
After our hike up and back down, we headed to the Waikiki Aquarium. They have an amazing collection of fish and they have these wands that you carry around and listen too. The kids loved pressing the numbers to listen.
Nemo!
Entertainment!
Checking out the monk seal~

Hey, we saw this fish while out snorkeling!

On our Way to Germaine's Luau!
We are ready!
A great show! Complete with Caitlin hula dancing on stage - TWICE!
Focused!!
So exciting!!

The show was complete with fire dancers (those pictures didn't turn out too well.)

Watching intently!
Back on stage!
A happy little hula girl!
Day 11
Exploring some more look outs!

I LOVE this shot! Andrew and Caitlin - you light up our lives!
Off we headed to Kailua Beach for some swimming and sand time.
The water is so clear here and the beach is amazing sand - but no fish or turtles for snorkeling.

So off we headed back to Hanuama Bay for more snorkeling! This time Andrew joined in the search for fish and turtles!
Getting the feel for it!

This is incredible - both snorkeling at one time. Caitlin would go way out to the reef with Mark, Andrew would only stick his face in the water. . . breathing under water is tough!

On Saturday evening the City of Waikiki held its annual Light Parade!
Andrew liked seeing Santa being pulled by a motorcycle!

Day 12
Sticker man!
We headed back  to another area of Kailua Beach, close to the Mokulua Islands.
Islands are in the back ground~

Tiny dancer!

Buried in the sand!

All 3 buried in the sand!
Sand castle building time.

Time for some throwing kids in the air!

 Day 13 (Last Day)
Last little bit of beach time on Waikiki Beach!
Catamaran!!

Quite a view!

Even Caitlin ventured out on the net!

My little pool loving girl!
Styling in her new Hawaiian dress before heading to the airport to go home!
Thank you Mark! I am so glad this trip worked out for us - great memories were made!!
