Halibut Trip

On Saturday Mark and I went with Andy fishing for halibut. We started by catching our own bait (polluck and hering). Totally new experience for both Mark and I! You have a fishing pole with a line of small hooks on the end and you jig (move the pole up and down) and catch little fish. You can catch up to six at a time!! Mark catching bait~
Andy getting the halibut gear all set up~
Here are the first two halibut we caught - they were around 20 lbs. We caught a total of four halibut. For some reason I didn't take any pictures of the fish after this (not sure why - must be pregnancy forgetfullness!)
Not the most flattering picture of me but you can see my belly - yep it is sticking out and you can also see how nice the weather was! It was sunny and partly cloudy. We only got sprinkled on once and the water was glass!!
