Merry Christmas (Early!)

Today has been a very busy day for us! We had our family Christmas today, went to church this morning, after church there was a cookie exchange, then headed to the Glacier to sled! All of this in very cold weather - it was below 15 degrees most of the day and even colder at night!

My pictures are a bit out of order, so please bear with me!
Here we are at the Mendenhall Glacier getting ready to sled! It is so beautiful out with the blue skies and sunshine. . . the colors on the glacier are amazing.
Caitlin and I chatting prior to sledding.Dad and Caitlin at the top of the hill - I think they are both really brave! The snow we have is now packed hard and pretty slippery. . . yes I'll admit I was nervous for my baby going down this big hill, but as always she did great!Going down. . . .

At the bottom . . . notice the stream behind Mark . . . I think we both had a flash of "OH NO we are not slowing down and gonna end up in the water!"
So I was a bit chicken and wouldn't go down the hill (hard fall and water didn't sound to great!) But we did find a smaller hill to go down and Mark did a great job pulling us all over!

Us again, we were also trying for a Christmas Card picture!

Remember I mentioned the pictures were a bit out of order, well below are pictures from Thursday night. Caitlin got into the presents while I was vacuuming :) I let her open up one of them . . .
It was a puzzle! So cute!On Friday Mark and Caitlin went for a walk at the airport trail, formally known as the Mendenahll Wetlands Trail. He got some beautiful pictures of the mountains and the glacier.
And a bald eagle.

She is very independent and loves to walk on her own.
Eventually she crashes, even in the sled! She has fallen asleep in the sled more than once.
Okay, back to this morning! As I mentioned we opened stockings - rise and shine~Daddy and his little girl both waking up!
She still tries to eat the paper!Concentrating so hard!

A baby cabbage patch doll!

Okay, that is probably enough pictures for now!! We are doing great, getting ready to travel, staying warm in our below freezing weather, helping where we can at our churches Live Nativity and enjoying the Christmas Season. See you soon!!
