Random Life of the Sanders

Life is very good up here in the cold snowy world of Juneau! You'd think it was December or something with the amount of snow we have been getting still. Yes today it continues to snow! Below are a few pictures over the last few weeks of what we have been up to.

This picture was taken prior to visiting Lynden, Caitlin decided to climb in the fish box, the perfect size for her! Yesterday was sunny and snowy! Weird yes I know! Caitlin loves to go outside. She is not afraid of the deep puddles and thanks to great Sorrel boots she stays pretty dry.
Running fast! The large snow bank is what we get for a view this time of the year. It wraps all the way down the street. (Good barrier to keep Caitlin nearby!) This is an interesting picture, but tells a lot. Mark has been trying to make the snow around our house melt faster, how you ask, well he has been shoveling the snow into the street. I think we will still have snow in May . . . but hopefully thanks to Mark's efforts maybe in April we will see grass!
Here you can kind of see the snow pile prior to Mark shoveling it. Caitlin loves to walk back and forth down the pathways.
Snow!! (Can you tell I am ready for spring?!?!?!)
Caitlin loves to feed herself. This was a dish of lasagna! I think some ended up in her tummy!!
She loves to dump out the bowl of food. . . . bath time after this dinner :)
Daddy and Caitlin!!
Caitlin recently got a set of metal pots and pans, she loves to cook and eat out of them. Don't you just love the ponytail!! (Shannon do you recognize the clips??)
Whisking away in the kitchen!Cool shades! With the snow has come a few spring like days with sunshine!! Guela her sunglasses still fit and she will leave them on - such a big girl.I had to show a picture of her when she was so little! This picture was taken last year in April - she still doesn't have a lot of hair!!The next few pictures are from walks we have taken. We first went to Auke Rec to walk on the beach. caitlin was little miss independent at first then wanted to be carried by mom. She is getting a bit big to carry so we tried on the shoulders - she loved being up so high!
This is the fast ferry Chenega it came into Auke Bay as we were out walking.
The next walk we went on was out at the airport trail. As we were walking, a very interesting looking fire truck came driving by. It put on a water show for us for quite a while. (we thought Brock might like these pictures :) )
Then an airplane came to take off. . . crazy how close we were!
Dad is still there for a ride!!
