October Fun

The last few weeks for us have been feeling like fall, leaves falling off the trees, cooler temperatures, rain and carving pumpkins! A true sign that fall has arrived along with Halloween. We have stayed pretty busy still, trying to stay outside as much as possible. A few weeks ago Mark had to work a longer day, so the kids, dog and I packed up at 8:30am and headed to the glacier to wear us all out!
Caitlin loves to stand "high" on rocks and have her picture taken!Cheese!
Andrew was in the pack staying dry from the misty rain. . .
Caitlin ran / walked the entire trail.
Here is Brew and her running towards the end - the waterfall!

My attempt to get the three of us~ Not to bad!! Last weekend we hiked up to the Salmon Creek Dam Hydro Electric Plant.

There is a monster hill at the beginning of the trail!
Here is Caitlin about 1/2 way up the hill.We made it to the plant! The trail continues about a mile up the trail to a reservoir (lake) and dam but it isn't quite safe enough for little kids to hike up :) Maybe in a few years! Caitlin fell down at one point (she gets excited and trips over her feet - kinda reminds me of Shannon and how she couldn't sit still as a young one, always falling off her seat at the kitchen table!) This is Caitlin "Shaking it off" and brushing herself off - it was pretty cute! Then we carved pumpkins! Caitlin did a great job cleaning out the pumpkins and sorting out the seeds for us!
So exciting!
We spent one sunny day at the Twin Lakes park - it was very beautiful, but really cold!! The temp has really dropped around here. . . thirty's and forty's - we are expecting snow any day!
Andrew in his favorite spot - the swing!Caitlin takin a break so mom could take a picture!
A princess helping Mom with dinner - slicing olives!
Such a smart little guy! Loves books already!
Our pumpkin carving project took a couple days - here is the final product!
The carving crew!
Mark's dog
Andrew's bat
Mom's word (it says "Boo" in case you can't tell!)
Caitlin's smiling face
Everyone have a happy Halloween! We love you and will be back soon with more of our adventures from Juneau~

Nice job on the tile/grout and painting the walls. I like the pumpkin carving- Mark's wolf is pretty cool! Hike all you can, looks good! DAD
