At the beginning of June my parents - a.k.a. Grandma and Papa - came to visit. The first day we had sunshine and after getting fishing licenses, headed to the Mendenhall Glacier. We hiked the pathway out to the waterfall.

Papa and Caitlin exploring~
This is a shocking picture to me and most likely to my sisters. . . . my dad is sitting in the recliner with his feet rested on Brew!! I KNOW!! Dad made a friend :)
The first day we went out fishing it was a bit rough on the water and Caitlin and I got sea sick. So they dropped us off at the dock and went back out fishing.
Caitlin, Andrew and I took a nap and then headed to the Rotary Park near our house.
Cheese mom!

Checking out the balance beam :)

One day while Mom and Dad were here, we all went fishing out at Hanas Reef - it was a bumpy ride out but once we got there it was calm, flat water and sunny!
We fished for halibut but landed so many P-Cod! If felt like we were fishing in a swarm of P-Cod!

A while later we headed out to fish for salmon. Shortly into fishing a pod of killer whales came swimming up behind us. Most of the time when a bunch of killer whales come by it means your done fishing - they eat or scare all the fish away. Not in our case, the line took off!! Mom grabbed the pole and was in a race against the killer whale chasing our salmon, hooked to the line!!
Mom won!

Kids hanging out with Grandam on the ride back to Amalga Harbor~

It was a great visit, with a bonus huge salmon caught at the end of the trip!
Thanks for coming to see us again!! Here's to next year~
