King Salmon & Dungee Crab

On April 28th Mark caught his first King Salmon of the year! A bit earlier he had a strike but the fish got away and then along came a whopper! He had to put in his time this year to catch this first king, 2 weeks of fishing!! While he was pulling in this salmon, Mark's friend Neil was calling his cell phone. He met Mark and they headed out for more fishing. The didn't have any more luck but they did get crab!
(Dad - Mark wanted me to comment on the glass water in the back ground!! Smooth enough for wakeboarding was his first thought - can you imagine, wakeboarding in the ocean, in Juneau, Alaska!!) BIG CRAB!!
These pictures are from a day earlier - Mark and Caitlin headed out for a day on the glass water.
Nap time on the boat! She sleeps amazingly well, sometimes 2 to 3 hours :)
We have had the most amazing weather here in Juneau for over a week. Yesterday was the best, it was in the 70's and I think it might have been the upper 70's in some areas. Unfortunatly Caitlin got the flu and was out of commission for the day. Since she was sick we spent the day at home. I was able to clean out my car and do some gardening and Mark fixed up the boat. Caitlin seems to have bounced back this evening - Praise the Lord!
Take care everyone and have a great week!
