September Has Come!

Well September brings football and fall to Juneau~
Proud Seahawks Fans! Our little cheerleader!
We have been able to go on some great hikes. The first was the East Mendenhall Glacier Trail. It is a little over 3 miles and Caitlin wanted to walk most of it. The first part has bridges with sockeye salmon in them - very interesting to a little one.
The next bridge is over a faster waterfall - still pretty interesting! Some of the trail was a bit steep and had a cliff side to it, at that point Caitlin went on Dad's back in the pack. She was very interested in her flower. The 3 of us!At one point on the trail it is nothing but steps and more steps. We let Caitlin walk up thinking it would wear her out quickly, well she was not to be slowed down. She made it up the entire thing without stopping. (Wore Mom out more than anything!) View at the top - Mendenhall Glacier in the background~Cheese! Walking again - this was the "giant rock" per Caitlin (can you see the tired look on her face?!?)
Another trail we went on was out Montanna Creek - I amazingly had never been on this trail ever! It was a bit less uphill, which was great for me :)

Okay that is it for now, we'll be back soon!
