After a short road trip to Seattle we were at Uncle Todd and Auntie Randi's house! Here we tried really hard to wear both them and the kids out :) First stop, the Woodland Park Zoo!
Checking out all the animals!
The orangutan came out to play in the sunshine!
And the brown bear too (I'm a little more comfortable seeing these up close in a zoo!)
We rode the carousel!
Fed the birdies with the help of Auntie Randi and Uncle Todd!
Stopped to eat and check out the map - she was so focused on the next plan of attack!
And crash - power nap time.
We even had an opportunity to feed an elephant!
Who wants to look at the camera when there is a very large animal behind you!
The hippo made an appearance!
And we hit the petting zoo!
That evening Mark and I were able to score some really great tickets to the Mariner's vs Red Sox game at Safeco Field. We also scored on two fabulous babysitters!! Thank you Uncle Todd and Auntie Randi ~ without you this would have never been possible!
We even had the Mariner's Moose join us in our box!
Picture time!
Our seats were right above right fielder Ichiro Suzuki :)
This field is beautiful - especially on a nice sunny day!
Safeco Field and the Space Needle - gorgeous night to be at a baseball game!
The next day we headed off to the Seattle Aquarium to check out some sea life!
Auntie Randi and Caitlin were on a mission to see everything~
Andrew even got in on the water action~
So cute! Mark and Todd were interested in the tide pools just as much as the kids :)
Go Auntie Randi!!
I think Caitlin wants to be just like her Auntie Randi!!
What happens when you get two restless kids in an open environment, with so much excitement!?!?
Yes - I'll claim them . . . wrestling on the floor of the aquarium!
Silly Girls!
Some fresh air and seals!
Next stop - the Space Needle!
(apparently now they take a complimentary picture of your group on the way up-here is ours! We are a mighty fine looking group, don't you think?!?)
View from the top~
Caitlin like the ride up on the elevator - she could see out the windows even while standing on her own two feet!
Andrew crashed on Daddy~
Cheese!
Getting a bit breezy up here folks!
The view looking up - I'd say its a pretty handsome view ;)
(notice I missed the top of the space needle!!)
Thank you Uncle Todd and Auntie Randi for letting us come and visit, add a little of our craziness to your household, and going on so many adventures with us! We created many memories that these kids (and us) will remember forever! WE LOVE YOU GUYS!!
