6th Anniversary Camping Trip

For our 6th Anniversary we went to our favorite camping place - Rupe Andrew's Cabin in Hand Trollers Cove. On our way out we dropped our fishing poles in the water and were successful - two beautiful coho. I love that Caitlin has no fear of getting dirty!Checking out the catch of the day~After dropping all our gear on the beach (and yes we have a lot!) it was time for a snack. Andrew made himself right at home in the cabin~Our home for a few days and nights~Oh the adventures Caitlin has! She found a baby crab :)We even went on a little adventure hike into the woods. . . follow Dad, he knows the way!View from the top - looking down on Hand Trollers Cove and our boat~This is not the way they came down :) They came to the tide pools and worked their way back up~Brew dog had a hard time this trip, he spent a lot of time outside and in the water. On our little adventure walk he discovered a dead seal carcass. . . and decided it was a good idea to roll around it in. It was the most horrible smell ever. He was then thoroughly drenched in dawn soap and left outside for the remainder of the trip. Our boat - this boat is what gets us out on the water and on our amazing adventures! My coho :)This year I wanted to learn how to gut and clean the salmon. Mark usually takes care of the dirty work for me (cleaning fish, baiting the hook, etc.) but I figured I should know how too! It wasn't a disaster :)Big beast!Oh yes, this is Daddy's little girl! This picture cracks me up but I'll have to explain why (not the easiest to see if you haven't been on the boat). Andrew fell asleep sitting up on the step going down into the bow of the boat :) It's hard work, all this fishing :)Caitlin trying to pick up one feisty little fish!Silly thing just kept flopping all over! All packed up and heading back home, but first, a little more fishing :)The catch! We did amazing this long weekend - total 13 salmon! I love you Mark! Happy Anniversary~ Here is to many more Anniversary Camping trips :)
