4th of July Weekend - July 2011 (Part 1)

So Danelle and I headed to downtown Juneau with our Breeze In treats to watch some Fourth of July fireworks on the 3rd~ Caitlin really wanted to come but she fell asleep and when 10:30 pm rolled around, she was out to the world. Danelle even climbed up in her bed to wake her up - next year we'll try again!

Yep it is starting to get dark - even in Alaska! All set!Ok - it was sprinkling and a little cold. . . take shelter in the truck!

Needless to say, the fireworks were beautiful - my pictures, not so much :) LOL! They came out much fuzzier than the pictures shown here. Lesson learned - iphones don't take the best pictures at night :)

The next morning, we were off to the 4th of July Parade the kids~

We had to get the American flag on the 4th! It's a tradition now :)

Taking it all in. . . Andrew's thoughts "Too bad Mom strapped me in this stroller. If I was out, I'd be gone - running wildly!!"

Before the parade on our way to get coffee, we ran into an old friend! Miss Tonya! Tonya and I went to school together and she was also Danelle's nanny for many years when Danelle was very little! They hadn't seen each other in many years and it was just by chance we ran into each other while Danelle was in town!Loving the 4th of July hat she received from someone in the parade :)

I just had to add this picture - Sorry Danelle!! So what happens when you add dawn dish soap to the dish washer?? It creates a whole bunch of BUBBLES!!!
