On the night before Christmas, Caitlin and I put a plate of cookies and glass of milk out next to the tree for Santa. We couldn't forget Santa's reindeer, very gently Caitlin also put a plate of carrots out next to the tree. Low and behold on Christmas morning we were woken up by little feet declaring that Santa had indeed come and "he ate most of the cookies, one was left so I ate it!" Christmas mornings are becoming more of a blur for me as the kids grow up. Not because it's early and the kids are bouncing off the walls, but because it goes by fast. So much anticipation leading up to it and then boom, it's done! Thankfully, even after all the presents are open, there is still a church service to celebrate the true meaning of Christmas - Jesus' birth!
Following that here is our blur of a morning~
Time for stockings!
Time for stockings!
This is the first year Andrew really understood what opening something meant - that there was something inside!
Unfortunately or fortunately due to the kids excitement a lot of the pictures are blurry!
Andrew's new "packpack"!
And Caitlin's lip gloss - her very own! She has held on to this stuff like no other toy!
See my moose Mom!
And a new car that makes noise and runs by itself!
Modeling her new pink boots and coat!
A Van Dalen/Sanders/Lankhaar/Heutink tradition - new Romeos for Christmas!
Wow! Look at that face, can you say excited about the butterfly shirt!?!?
I'm not sure what it is, but he wants it out of the box :)
Caitlin did a great job this year handing out the presents ~
Later at the table with her lip gloss and other little toys. She is just fascinated with the little itty bitty figurines like Polly Pocket.
Showing Dad her lips! All sparkly~
