January 2012 - Back on the Mountain

You may be wondering which mountain I am referring to. . . we have a spectacular ski/snowboarding area here in Juneau called Eaglecrest. The website it located here - http://www.skijuneau.com/ if your interested. . . It is about a 30 minute drive from our house to North Douglas.

The last time I went snowboarding was prior to me getting pregnant with Caitlin - February 2007! It had been a while and the last experience was not my greatest. . . I fell into a tree. Yes, I'll admit it, I was nervous.

HOWEVER, this trip back up was incredible! I had a blast, found my groove and best of all I didn't fall!
I am so excited we were able to go - a big THANK YOU to Viki for watching the kids while we went.
Another big THANK YOU to Mark for all of the encouragement, the push I needed to not wimp out and for not making me hit the Ptarmigan Lift on the first day :)

Mark only took three pictures while we were up there - so you get to see them all, even if it is me again!!

I can't wait to go up again - soon . . . I'm ready for the Bear Lift!
