Up to the Dan Moller Trail/Cabin (August 2012)

On Saturday, August 18th we headed up the Dan Moller trail to the public use cabin. The kids were ready to burn some energy on this 6 mile (round trip) trail!

Behind the kids is the downtown Juneau area :) All set and ready to go!

My favorite girl forever!

Up the boardwalk we go! Step after step. . . .

View from the top!

The blue skies were clearing up more and more as the day went on!

The new cabin they just recently built is quite incredible for a public use cabin! It is two stories, has enough beds to easily sleep 9 but you could fill it up with more people and a balcony with spectacular view!
The cabin was a perfect place to rest up, eat lunch and take a few pictures.
Picture time!
I love these too - I am also very proud of them! They both hiked a long ways to get to this cabin!

On the way back down - checking out the stream and waterfalls.

Andrew getting a short lift from Dad - and loving it!

Taking a break on the boardwalk - with a leaf she found!

We even found some blue berries along the trail~Check them out Mom!
This trail took us 2 hours hiking each way and then about an hour up at the cabin - on the drive home Andrew and Caitlin both fell asleep and slept for quite a while :)
