At the end of September, Caitlin's preschool class took a field trip to the DIPAC Hatchery. I was fortunate to be able to join in the fun! They had a chartered bus pick everyone up at the school and drive out to the hatchery.
When we arrived, we stopped at the fish ladder to check out the returning salmon and start our tour!
Then we went inside to the touch tanks!
And we checked out the aquariums~
We spent a lot of time at the touch tanks - Caitlin found a friend with this starfish~
Then we headed downstairs to where they are keeping the baby salmon in very large tanks - we even had the opportunity to see them feed the fish! (This is Caitlin's friend Indy :)
We look forward to many more field trips this spring and summer!!
