September 2011 - Fire Trucks, Dump Trucks and More

Last September the City and Borough of Juneau put an event together for the kids to come an see, climb on and explore all sorts of equipment. This included an helicopter (we could check this one out but not actually climb into. . . safety and all!)
Caitlin inspecting a semi truck. . . she was looking for the cord to pull the horn. It's exciting for a 3 year old to pull a really loud horn!
She drove a city bus! No really but she took hold of the steering wheel and made the seat go up and down :)
Andrew LOVED the bobcat! I couldn't get him to look at me for a picture, he was checking everything out!
And Caitlin was right in there too - even tried on the head sets~
A snow plow - Juneau style~
Andrew's turn to drive the bus!
Se seems so small in this big equipment!
And of course Andrew couldn't be left behind - he had to keep up with his big sister :)
Yep, this is the equipment they were inside!
(sorry Brock, I am sure you know the name of this, I don't!)
Another huge plow truck! She is as tall as the wheel!
And the fire truck!! They were spraying water out of the hoses and taking rides up in the bucket - not my kids though. . . they just wanted to look from a distance. They did check out the drivers seat but that was close enough :)
Awesome event for kids - props to CBJ! There was so many different types of equipment and the neat part was they could climb in and check everything out! Here's to next year!
