October 2011 - Halloween Festivities

We were able to attend quite a few Halloween events this year! Starting with Caitlin and Andrew's daycare putting on a parade in the State Capitol Building~
I had to post all three of the following pictures so you can see Andrew's expressions.

Here they come! The beginning of the parade - the Toddler group. All kids calm and on the rope.
Andrew breaks free! I see my Mom and I'm off to see her, don't care about the rope anymore!Wait, what? I have to go back on the rope after seeing my Mom. . . that is so not fair. Needless to say, he didn't stay on the rope and came for a walk with me :)
Getting ready for part 2 of the parade - walking outside and across the street to the Legislative Offices :) I love all of the creative costumes!Up next, the Preschoolers! Can you see the pink hat??Oh excitement of seeing my Mom!! I just can't hold still long enough for a picture (they were all fuzzy!)Here we go - outside and on to part 2 of the parade. I ended up helping direct and hold kids hands at this point. . . so no more pictures after this one!
(P.S. just in case you are wondering - the tan building with the zig-zag staircase is the State Capital Building where I spend a large amount of time - especially when it's Legislative Session. The building to the right is the State Office Building, where my office is located :) )We also went to our friends Jill and Sam's Halloween costume party~
Mark and I went as Popeye and Olive OylJill, Sam and their kids as the Flintstones~Kevin, Amanda and their kids as the Bee Keeper and his Bees~
Jacqelli and her kids as Cleopatra's, Pharaoh and the mummy~
I couldn't tell you which twin this is, but he's a cutie!!Pharaoh and Cleopatra~He's Popeye the sailor man - toot toot! The pink crayola crayon!
The pirate girls~
And the dinosaur (not so sure about the hat Mom's making me wear!)
It's Pebbles!
We also attended our churches Halloween Festival! Rebecca and her committee did an absolutely fabulous job on this first time event for our church. There was cookie decorating, arts and crafts, face painting, games, photo booth, cakewalks, a glow in the dark maze, and so much more!
Caitlin showing off her face painting~Andrew (and another Caitlin) spent quite a bit of time in the toy area - they were very content to just play :)
Caitlin and her friend Alexis!Best Buddies!
Fishing time! Oh how this brings back memories!
Game time!
Joe as the spider!
We had a blast at the church event - here's to next year!!
